A mixed bag to say the least

After the morning (which I posted separately) I was 9.7 before lunch.

I took 10 units Novorapid, and had 3 slices seeded batch bread, with chicken, mayo, small amount grated cheese and plenty of spinach. I also added a packet of McCoys. Total carbs: 67.8

2pm BG was 7.2, which I thought was not bad.

Unfortunately I then lost my mind and had a little "madeleine" cake thing that someone brought me back from France, which is probably why at 3:30 I was 11.7 and before tea at 5:45 I was up to 12.2!!

Then a complete balls up on my part by calculating my pasta at half the amount it actually was - numpty. I did all of the cooked amount vs dry evaluations, but somehow forgot that it was two packets we had between us, and my half was actually *not* 56g but probably 120g! Including the tomato sauce (10ish) I took 13 units for it, which on the calculations I thought, should have been okay I reckon

Watched a film with two bottles of Fursty Ferret - damn thats my achilles heel, even though the other half doesnt drink - but normally that doesnt really do much long term.

But because of the miscalculation I think, and probably slow release, I was 17.9 before bed. took 3u of novorapid to drop it, and usual 24 of levemir.

This morning was 6.9 which I assume was down to the correction dose.

Idiot!

Hi Chris. Thank you for making me laugh (it sounds so familiar) :D

At least you know where you went wrong and your correction dose was about right by the look of it.

I think the main thing you need is some willpower for a bit so you can get to grips with the routine stuff (and maybe someone to double check your pasta figures - dry vs cooked is always a killer). Try again with today's and see how you get on.

Once you have the mundane sorted, the beers and cakes can be figured in without worries.🙂

I can quite regularly have days like this at the weekends...........

Its good your identifying the problems though.......

3 units wouldn't touch my BG at that level............😉
