Hmm, a real head scratcher today so far, but maybe there are some clues
Last nights history - made mistake in calculating evening meal carbs by 50%, which, without retelling the other thread, meant 17.9 before bed. So had 3u novorapid correction and usual 24 levemir.
This morning, 7:25 - 6.9 bg. Not bad, must have worked.
Different breakfast a few minutes later, so took 8u Novo and had natural yoghurt (Id say 10g), plus cherries (handful), oats (handful), half a banana (5g?) - So perhaps all in all, around 45g estimate.
Then got carried away and had almond croissant at cafe, which I think is about 30-35, or is it less? Cant remember, havent got my book.
10:40 blood test and I was 4.7 bg which I found astonishingly low considering. Perhaps it was the lower starting point, or the a better ratio on breakfast and slower release carbs?
Anyway, treated myself to a chocolate digestive.
12:00pm, blood levels are now 6.3
Im pretty sure any other day, if Id had that amount of insulin/carbs (double breakfast really!) Id be sky high by now, which I can only therefore put down to my morning bg starting at 6.9 instead of 9, 10 or more?
So, on 6.3, its now lunch which Im keeping the same every day (3 slices really seeded - 51g), chicken, spinach, mayo in two, and goats cheese, spinach mayo in one). So for that I will take 8u novorapid as im always apprehensive of my lunch ratio
