I had been debating whether to get a new phone. I say new as any phone older than my current phone would be a downgrade.
I finally got a Samsung A40. I'm still debating whether to use the free SIM card from CeX where I bought the phone or put my current SIM in the Samsung.
There are advantages to having a separate phone just for apps for example not using all the data on my current phone (12GB for £10 a month) plus I can find out whether the Libre 2 or Dexcom One app work on the Samsung before putting the current SIM in it.
I know I shouldn't care what others think ie why do I need two phones. That wasn't my original intention : I planned on swapping the current SIM and putting it in the newish phone but I am thinking that for a while I might keep them separate until I am ready.
I didn't want to upgrade as I would be trapped in a contract paying for just the phone. By buying outright I am able to sell my current phone if I choose or after a while sell the second phone.
