Umm, if you're female and of a certain age, it may be that. That's how it started with me. Or it could be a reaction to one of your meds. Whatever it is, it's worth looking into, hopefully your doctor can come up with an explanation.

Yes, I have had this, particularly in the first few months after diagnosis when my levels were fluctuating much more than they do nowadays. Getting steadier levels seems to have solved the problem now, but I used to get freezing cold even at the height of summer, and then sweat buckets. Hope things settle for you soon Marie, what are your levels like during the day, before and after meals? (I'm getting familiar with your waking levels! 😉)

3.30pm BG 6.2 forgot to say had 2 slice of Wholemeal Bread with cheese, tomato & onion for lunch

Hormone results in the normal range do not completely rule out problems in that department- you could ovulate normally in one cycle but fail to for the next one or several as the menopause does not happen all at once
Not sure how helpful this is for you but hormones could still be at fault
Could stress be a factor?
Have you done overnight tests and fasting at different times to see if basal is ok overnight and throughout the day?- a basal that is off makes achieving control very unlikely especially if boluses are varied according to carbs- e.g. if not enough basal at one time the nearest bolus dose could be propping this up so if you eat less carbs and take less insulin according to your ratio this could result in a higher reading . When I did DAFNE the only basal testing advised was overnight- this is a short coming I feel as sometimes lantus and levemir do not last 24 hours and some people need different amounts at different time of day
I sometimes find I feel very hot if BG is high and occasional the first symptom of a hypo is fatigue and a flu like feeling

Thanx Abi
