Went and had my flu jab today, not a problem, but had the fourth degree about my diebectese, because I've been in hospital, she was quite off handish, was it the food I was eating, was it this and that, and then said I had to have the pneumonia vaccine, first I ever heard of this, then she said my asthma would drigger my diebectese and verse versa, I was in a maze before, now lost completely, nothing gets explained, I'm trying my hardish, want to roll up in a ball and say sodd it, just a little bit of empathy would go a long way.
Just had phone call from surgery have to see DN, about my monitor, I have the nexus mini, anyone have the same any problems

Hi . I am so sorry that you had such a bad experience today. Seems she got left out when care and compassion for patients was being handed out.

Vivienne - we get eligible for all sorts of things when we have a chronic condition of any kind, and even more so as we have more birthdays! My old GP who sent me to the nurse to have my pneumonia jab when I was about 40 ish was a bit more diplomatic saying that a jab was now available (cos that was the first I'd ever heard of it) and would I like to have one? May as well avoid catching anything I can prevent, I always think.

I've had another one since, dunno if they only last 25 years or something?

Sorry to hear your appointment didn’t go well for you. Positive experiences with HCPs are so important.

I’ve had pheumonia and flu jabs over the years - and they are important because getting those things is bad enough, but it’s potentially much more serious when you live with diabetes.
