A ?PROUD? father took his own life because he was worried about his relationship with his fianc?e and had financial worries.

Frederick Hunnisett, 37, of Fairmead Close, Fittleworth, died after injecting himself with three phials of insulin.

Rachel Atkinson, Mr Hunnisett?s fiance, said: ?He was a proud man, maybe this was a cry for help which went wrong.

?I know things had been difficult between us but I never thought he would do anything like this. I couldn?t believe it.

Such a terrible shame :(

I've wondered now and again how much it would take. Looks like 3 x 3 ml (300 units) of Novorapid would do the job; but you'd have to get all the needles and cartridges lined up and ready to go in case a hypo meant you couldn't finish it.
Presumably you'd be best doing it when your blood sugars are low anyway; yet another finger prick test to do.
