When it comes to exercise and nutrition, there are plenty of methods, systems and expert opinions about what, how much and when we should be working out. Some will assert that four times per week for fifteen minutes will do the trick, others will have us believe that what it actually takes is 90 minutes, three times per week, while the rest might extol the virtues of just a daily walk. So who is right, and what is the best combination for getting into shape?

The truth is that they all work and it will come down largely to personal preference and practicalities, like the time that you have available. If you have specific goals, some approaches are definitely more effective than others - it is very difficult to increase aerobic endurance in a 10-minute training session for example - but for general fitness, there are many ways to get the job done.
