Hello lovelies
What other fish can we eat on low carb ???

I don’t mind salmon but that was always my go to and I’m hoping there’s different fish I could potientally have ????

Please and thankyou

If it's just plain fish (meaning without batter etc) then it's all low carb (basically nothing in fact) xx

There is no carb in fish but take care with what you have with it. Breaded or battered fish contains carbs in the coating but also be aware of any sauces that may contain flour.
As usual, the best approach is to test what impact the food has on you because we are all different.

There must be some fabulous fish you get in Australia. We have found in other countries fish are called something different from what they are known as in the UK.
But as said it is what is put on them, batter, breadcrumbs, sauces that would give them any carbs.
I am put off some fish because they just look ugly.

Once they're dead, gutted and filleted on a plate they look pretty much the same.
But, you are right, I've prepared some ugly fish.

I’ll have to defianetly work out some fish because I ate til my hearts content on salmon and now I am over salmon and wouldn’t mind trying something else . Hey I don’t blame you I am too , even when I see other people prepare fish I still think it’s ugly .

Any fish is good.

Trout
Mackerel
Herring
Tuna

Any oily fish is better than white fish, but there are a nice variety to get through and white fish are still good.

I lived in Australia about 25 years ago. There was a local fish monger's on Lygon Street in Melbourne (probably long gone now). They had great fish but I don't remember any mackerel or herrings. I would love @Jacinta to remind me what local fish they have.

King George Whiting
Garfish
Barramundi
Snapper
Kingfish
Trevally

Just off the top of my head 🙂
