I lurrrvvvv salmon - yummmmm!

I have a large flat box with a vented lid (bought from Poundland) which I think is intended to be used as a microwave fish-kettle, that's certainly how I use it. 🙂 A bit of salmon or white fish poaches to perfection in 4 minutes or less, and is great with peas or a salad. :D

Had salmon and Hollandaise one night last week. Got some smoked haddock this week.

Haven't sent Pete out fly fishing recently .......... so haven't had trout for a while. (lovely done on the BBQ in summer, wrapped in foil with onions and white wine in where the innards were - spine and most bones come out easily when cooked - beautiful cold, with lots of lovely salads) (and if you are doing a buffet, you can easily skin it and replace with wafer thin sliced cucumber 'scales')

I love cod and haddock, always have done. Just roasted with some black pepper, delicious.

Fish is one of those things I have had to learn to 'like'. Before the D I didn't eat much fish (only the cod & chips type 🙂 ) and the very occasional kipper, as I couldn't stand the smell of fresh fish. Now we tend to have salmon fillets (or other oily fish fillets) once a week. They're ok with butter & herbs etc, and they don't smell. Mr Marten likes sardines, pilchards and the like, so will sometimes have them for lunch. I don't....:(

Only approx. once a week here. Bought some more salmon yesterday .....

I'm with you pine marten can't stand the smell, it initiates my very keen gag reflex, do love a bit of tuna though (fresh not tinned) because it doesn't smell like fish :D

Swordfish...I *think* I had that once, when my then-boss and I went to Washington on work-related business. Our office colleague had recommended going to some restaurant (B. Smith's?) there for fried green tomatoes, and we had them with mash potatoes. It was a really nice meal 🙂. Of course, memory being what it is, it was probably some other fish entirely...o_O

We got married in the Seychelles. Every night they did a fresh seafood Barbie. I thought I was in heaven:D. The sea was like bathwater you could not keep me out of it even with the sharks 😱

Fish makes me want to vomit especially salmon. I like tinned tuna and sardines on toast though.

I had a baked salmon steak on Tuesday, done in foil with a little fresh chopped thyme, a slice or two of lemon and onion and a dash of white wine. That and celeriac mash, yumm.
