Hi everyone, so after my shocking hba1c result of 82 I took the bull by the horns and reduced the evil Carbs.
Already in just a week my head feels so much clearer and I have lots more energy.
I will sit down at our together an estimation of how many carbs I was eating up until last week..... It's only when you start eating better that you realise how totally out of control you actually were but.... It was the kick up the a*** I really needed. I've been logging all my food on mfp and average Carbs for the day is approx 60g upto now.
My bg's last weekend were in double figures 13.5 and 15 and I'm happy to report have been much better this week. 8.9 2 hours after lunch yesterday and lowest result was 7.8 earlier on Thursday, so I'm really pleased with myself.
I've been moving more did 10,000 steps yesterday building up from 5000 at the start of the week, really enjoying moving again. All this 3 weeks after feeling totally rubbish with covid so I'm chuffed.
Eating lots of meat, veg, salad, cheese, yoghurt, Mayonnaise etc and haven't really felt hungry. Also trying to aim for 3 meals a day especially when I'm at work as I'm up a lot earlier. I've never been a breakfast eater for some reason, it's now 10.40 and I haven't eaten yet. I'm experimenting with coconut flour fathead pizza for lunch .
Sorry for the ramble on!
Michelle
