Just to say hello,I'm a newbie on here though have had Type 2 & also a supporter for a few years.

Hi Ann and welcome

Would you like to tell us a bit more about your diabetes... ie how you are managing it? Diet, medication exercise etc. Have you come to the forum to get help or support or just be part of a community which understands what it is like to live with diabetes? Hope you find it as beneficial as I have and perhaps make some new friends along the way.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Welcome @ann2020 I am sure you will find lots of support and information in the forum and plenty of helpful members.

Hi and welcome, look forward to seeing your posts.

Good morning all, thank you for the welcome. Like most of you I have lots of medication as my diabetes has progressed & have just started using the Ozempic pen, I was hoping to find out how others are coping.

Hello @ann2020, so good that you have joined the forum.
As you can see we are quite a friendly lot, and there is a great deal of information available on the various pages and links.

I do not have any experience of using an Ozempic pen, but I am sure others will be along that have. Are there any particular issues that you are having with it?

Took my 2nd dose last Sunday, the feeling of nausea I can cope with but it's the constantly going to the loo,I am hardly eating & feel lifeless.Struggling to get food into me to take all my tablets, am hoping things will improve.Off for a hospital appt this afternoon(not diabetes related) & have not eaten since this morning so hopefully I don't have to go running to the loo.

Hi again - Sorry to hear you are unwell (hope it settles soon). It may be an idea to start a thread about this 'pen' - that way its more able to be spotted by people using the same device and therefore these people will be able to give you a heads up on its use, and possibly some useful tips with it if you are struggling. - Your question could be a bit lost in the 'Newbies' thread. All the best. (Hope it goes well at the hospital for you). 🙂

Hello @ann2020. So sorry to hear that you are having such problems.
I will copy in @everydayupsanddowns who may know of someone else that has experience of these issues.
It does sound though as if you may need to make your medical team aware of the problems you are having.

Welcome to the forum @ann2020

Sorry to hear you are struggling with Ozempic.

We’ve had a number of members who have had similar experiences

So it certainly seems like you should try to see your GP and explain how you are feeling and ask if there are alternatives you can try.

this thread suggests that the side effects may reduce and disappear over time, but that may take a few weeks. And for some people the effects of the medication are worth hanging on for.

Hope things ease for you really soon, or you can find something that suits you better.
