Hi guys,

First retinal examination over....... Had appointment this morning at 9.25am; optician explained the procedure including what he was looking for with the glucoma (sorry I know I've spelt this word wrong) test; that was fine 🙂Photographs of back of eyes taken and again he showed me the images and explained, in detail, what he was looking for.... he then told me everything was perfect and he'd see me again in 12 months time 🙂

Although I have every confidence in him (he was very thorougher); I'll wait for my results letter from the Hospital.

Relieved that's over; now just waiting for ECG results and dentist tomorrow....hopefully, come the weekend I'll be able to relax..... been anxious all week....:(

P.S. Have 2nd swimming lesson tomorrow....😱

Snap !
I had tests for glaucoma this arvo as well. I was at the opthalmologist a month or so ago and she found the pressure in my right eye was 16 ( normal range) but 23 in left eye ( elevated and possibly indicating glaucoma ( which is associated with diabetes)).
This afternoon a very obliging opthalmologist at the PCT centre did five tests and concluded right eye pressure was 15 and left eye 19 - highish but not conclusive, come back in six months for further tests. Left eye pressure consistently higher than right might be normal for me. She also said eye pressures will go up and down like blood pressure and treatment for glaucoma, if present, is eye drops, that don't conflict with diabetic meds.

Great news about the eyes. I hope the ECG and dentists are good news too.
