Exercise is the best thing for bringing down BGs so the more you can manage the better.

I find it better to 'potter' on and off all day rather than do a full on workout (a half mile walk as I would otherwise call it 😱) and then sit down for 3 hours.

But the more you can manage, the faster your metabolism will burn off weight and the more sensitive you'll be to insulin. Win-win situation.🙂

Tbh im always on my feet and on the go normally, i wake up in the morning tidy the house go to the shops chase after my little girl etc but this last week i've felt drained after being in hospital, i'm starting to feel a little bit more energetic and have been starting to pick up again with the cleaning.

Think i've been worrying alot as well about moving house and the hubby starting work and the little one starting nursery etc. As soon as the little one starts nursery im going to be looking for a part time job so will have less time to think about my tummy and be on my feet more.

Sorry, was away all day yesterday (well, not sorry, actually, as it was a really good day out, and that's important, whether or not you have diabetes and / or other issues 🙂), so not able to join in.

Congratulations, MummyRose on dealing with your raised blood glucose levels yesterday. It does take a while to get levels in line, and if it happened too quickly, you'd feel "hypo" much of the time, but bring them down gradually, means your body can adjust to new levels.

Also, I really hope your search for a part time job is successful. I know that getting a job was the start of things improving for me after diagnosis as a young adult. I had to return from attempt to emigrate which was scuppered by diagnosis, and while initial job after starting insulin was too boring (working in travel agency) it spurred me to look at alternatives and from a chance meeting with an old expedition friend, learned about a new option in an MSc course that he'd done, and got a scholarship because applications were lower due to novelty of option. It has given me more options for work in the 13 years since graduating.
