Well done!!You seemed to have coped with your first hypo very well. It was good that you recognised the fact that you were going hypo. As for BG testing, we have all different regimes, however, it is normally advised to test BGs before every meal. This is so you can judge the amount of insulin to food that works for you. I am sure that others can advise you re difference between the🙂 testing methods, I know that it does vary, but cant remember the exact percentage that the results vary by. I know it isnt a great difference, but someone on here will be able to explain. Good luck anyway, and test when you feel it is necessary!!!

There is a section devoted to driving etc.
Sounds like you did the right thing so long as you gave the bs time to stabilise before you drove the car.
Sounds odd that if they knew you had diabetes they stressed you for the heart test.
Medics often have tunnel vision.

Joe, are you sure the hypo was casued by the excercise and not by Jo scoring twice for the Toffees today??

Going back a stage, with the aim of preventing a hypo in similar circumstances - How long did the exercise test last? Did you test your blood glucose levels before starting on the treadmill? If it was lower than 7, then a handful of jelly beans / jelly babies / muesli bar etc would have probably prevented the hypo ever happening. But still, it's important to check before driving, as well.

thanks for all your info, all veryhelpful.alan ithink wednesdays result gave me my hypo.
