Well first HbA1C results since starting insulin tomorrow.

Last three were:
Oct 11 - 8.4
Jan 12 - 10.5
Apr 12 - 12.0

I'm going for 9.2 tomorrow (only because my app tells me!)

Wonder if it will be right!

Hope you see an improvement with the insulin Rob, though these things can take time to filter into your A1c, so don't be disheartened if you don't see the number you are hoping for...

Having said that I'll go for 8.8% (61) 🙂

I like your optimism Mike, but the result is in and...9.3 so the "On Track" app was pretty good with it's prediction of 9.2.

I'm OK with the result, would I like it to have been lower, of course, but I'm still getting used to everything and only really started getting consistant readings in the 4-8 range in the last couple of weeks.

Next test in 3 months I'm hoping to be in the 7's then! 🙂

Wow! You have every right to be pleased. The improvement since April is fantastic. Do you feel better in yourself?

Fingers crossed for the next one 🙂

The thing is I don't feel any different physically from the beginning of the year when I was way up there to how I am today, I've never felt unwell in the 6 years I've had diabetes (which by the way the nurse now believes is type 1 not 2 as originally diagnosed)

I feel mentally better but that's only since I started testing and seeing the high numbers which got me down, so the fact I'm getting better numbers does make me feel better but if I didn't know what the numbers were I think I'd be fine too!!

I've always been a bit strange!!

Here's hoping October shows a similar improvement!
