Hi guys,

Had my first HbA1c blood test today - have first appointment with Diabetes nurse in 2 weeks time; do you think its worth just waiting for the results via my appointment in September or find out beforehand? I'm still losing weight and doing the 10,000 steps a day; healthy eating.

Hoping I can manage this with diet and exercise - I've read too much information and my head is swimming..... Haven't been advised to test but I'll ask the diabetes nurse this.

Not all surgeries will release the information, but if yours does then (if it was me!) I would want to know as it would be a useful piece of information to know prior to the appointment. Plus, I'm impatient where things like this are concerned!

Try not to take everything in at once - there is an awful lot of information around - a lot of it conflicting, just to make things harder - and a lot to learn, but you will surprise yourself in 6 months just how much you know, I'm sure! 🙂

Thank you - I really appreciate you're support. As you know I'm really struggling with all this but I'll get there - eventually. Amanda x 🙂
