Can't believe how HOT it is outside here today! 😱 So, like a fool I thought I should do a spot of weeding. Just came in feeling a bit on the low side and tested - sure enough 2.9 😱 Forcing the green jelly babies down before I open a new box with lots of the much lovelier colours to choose from for next time :D

Gardening hypos are the worst.

When you've finished eating jelly babies, my garden needs weeding!! :D

Now if you were on a pump you could reduce your TBR for gardening - but then you wouldn't get to eat jelly babies:D Oh no, I'm missing my jelly babies now I'm on my diet......come here little black and red jelly babies............

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to reduce my basal even with a pump as my pancreas is the one providing it! 🙂

Oh to have my own basal that does sound nice🙂 Anyhow you've persuaded me that the weather is too nice to stay in - so I'm going to get my Kindle and read my chick lit book in the sun whilst trying to ignore my hunger until my 4pm WW snack

Have a nice afternoon, only 40 minutes to go till the snack :D

This may be a crazy idea, but would it be so wrong to chuck out the green ones and open the new box? 😉

I'm from Yorkshire - can't chuck brass down t'sink like that! :D

It cannot be so far away,
When dawns that dreadful, fateful day
As, reaching to treat my hypo shocks,
I find just green ones in the box!

Oh, tell me Mr Basset please
Why waste your time producing these?
Tart on tongue, and jealous hue,
An aberration! Shame on you!

For lusty red, beguiling black
I could consume those by the sack!
Bright orange, sunny yellow too ?
I?d even accept a baleful blue!

But green brings foaming at the mouth,
One eye looks North, the other South,
Gripped by a kind of emerald rabies,
The Dark Lord of the Jelly Babies!

Fab poem lol!

How about dissolving green jelly babies in water and using as slug traps? :D

What? Green ones are my favourite..!

I think you secretly keep all the greens til last 'cos they're your favourite, mmmm green jelly babies 😉

Just think how outcast they feel being left til the end - it's discrimination!

Ugh no, cough spit! 😱

Actually, I think it lulls them into a false sense of security - they see that they are being passed over every time and see all the other colours getting their heads bitten off, and think they are safe from such a fate...😉

Tarmac, and a few gentle pots to tinker with maybe..........?

Ooh no! My neighbour's garden was beautiful before she moved, then the new neighbour ripped up ALL the plants and replaced it with grass :( A total crime as there were so many mature and wonderful shrubs and plants of all varieties, now it's basically a field.

I actually find gardening quite therapeutic, but it is a bit of a battle at times when things are growing like fury! 😱
