First eye screening today and novice error

Had my first eye screening today and despite being a bit concerned beforehand it wasn't half as bad as expected.

I would however advise other first timers to be a little more specific with thier arrangements to meet whoever it is that will give them a lift from the clinic. The realisation I couldn't actually focus on my phone to unlock it and find a contact made me feel a bit silly.

Lucky my boss came and found me whilst I was holding my phone at arms length in the high street sunglasses on wandering aimlessly around and considering asking a passing Stranger for some help.

Felt like a right melon. Still no harm done and I was back working within an hour ot so,albeit with word documents at 200% magnification and a bit of a squint haha
 
Really glad that you did not find it too bad. I was really scared first time and got sent to a hospital that is miles from where I live with no public transport. Hope the report when it comes is good 🙂
 
Mr James. Sorry but your plight did make me smile. It's good to hear it wasn't as bad as you expected. I hope you're told all is well with your eyes.

Sorry MrJames...you account while a little concerning made me smile...fortunately I had a friend waiting for me after my screening...I remember how much we laughed when I came out of the clinic 'bug eyed'...pleased it went well...often with many of the treatments we have the waiting...the anticipation is worse than the actual event...good luck with the results.
 
I'm glad it made you smile I had to laugh myself as I realized what a fool I was. I hope the results are ok but one thing that has changed for me since I found out I had D is that I refuse to worry about things anymore.

I will deal with stuff as it happens because I realized recently worrying has never helped me.
 
I was lucky that my husband was picking me up, I didn't find the screening bad, but did have a headache for a while afterwards. I was coming for a second viewing on my house and my pupils were still dilated and I said to hubby they probably think I was on something.
