Waking: 3.7
(I didn't believe it, but re-test was stupidly low at 2.8 which is nonsense as I felt fine)
Breakfast + 2hrs: 5.2
Pre-lunch: 4.5
Lunch + 2hrs: 7.1
Pre-dinner: 4.8
Dinner + 2hrs: 5.9

Any thoughts from experienced finger-stabbers?

wow, what I wouldn't give for those results! I've been told to aim for 7.8 or below (obviously not hypo though) 2 hours after a meal and 5.9 or below before a meal so aprt from the 3.7 they would be an absolute dream for me!!! Well done LeeLee 🙂 xx

Thanks Vix, my pancreas appears to be behaving better since the weight loss and presumably metfartin is doing it's job to counter the resistance.

Looks like pretty fab readings to me 🙂

Just wonderin, what did you have for lunch as that's the only one where you could say you actually had an increase really.

Lunch was a Warburtons Thin (19.8g carbs) with 2 slices of lean ham and pickled beetroot; a fat/sugar free mango yogurt (10.9g carbs) and an apple. I thought I was being good!

If this pattern repeats itself, is it worth asking about slow release metformin at my next review? After breakfast and dinner I took 500mg of the standard stuff.

They are good levels so well done!

Your lunch was good so don't get the spike in bloods

Well I dunno actually what a 'thin' is but assuming it's bread of some sort - all fairly 'fast' carb there, esp since the yog was fat free too so that wouldn't slow your carb down any. And you didn't mention the dollop of mayo I'd have had on the beetroot either LOL (I love B & M sandwiches, with or without ham!)

These are brilliant results. Can I have them please:D

Thanks all for your kind words. I think that being a very fat T2 came with an advantage (!) in that there was potential to improve my D simply by doing what I should have been doing all along - getting control of my weight.

Well done LeeLee. As other have said I'd like results like that. Keep it up, good to know that you are doing well. 🙂

Today's results were ALL under 5. 😱 My pancreas appears to be back on form, so I'll just do the occasional waking test to make sure I'm not slipping and give my fingers a rest for now. Will keep up the weight loss though. 🙂
