Hi all

Hope you are all good. I’m a bit excited today as I’ve bought a trial month for the dexcom G6... and about 15 mins ago set my first sensor up! now I have to be calm and wait the remaining 1hr 45 mins until it starts properly.

Any one else get excited by new diabetes gadgets? Please say it’s not just me!!

LOL! - I certainly used to and possibly still would with a 'proper' CGM @grainger

Generally, it's just more of the same, whatever it happens to be these days though. A side effect of AD, I expect.

Not just you @grainger !

I was almost hypnotising myself watching my cgm graph line when I first got it. It is amazing tech to have. You must be up and running by now, hope it’s going well 🙂

I already love it purely as I can link it to my watch :D E6020971-074B-4F38-92E1-74B3F39EBCCD.jpeg

My daughter got her first dexcom last week. She was most excited because it meant she has to have a phone too :D

plus she doesn’t have to do any of the setting up

She gets her pump next week will be slightly less fun but she’s still looking forward to that

Hope it works well for you @grainger

I find they generally track my BG spectacularly well when compared to fingersticks. the odd bit of ‘lag and drift‘ occasionally, but generally I trust them to be spot-on.

My use of test strips has plummeted!

im absolutely loving it so far. The alarms have already helped me prevent 2 hypos, and just glancing at my watch has meant I’m so much more on top of where I’m at...I’m now really excited about the prospect of receiving the tslim and seeing how they work together.

I’m feeling so incredibly lucky that D (husband) & I can afford to self fund these for now. We’ve budgeted to do it for a year at the moment. Hoping to really see a difference in that time.

Life just feels easier already.

I was like that with my first Libre sensor. Still loving the ease of use and extra data they provide but the novelty is wearing off a little. Having it on prescription is my new novelty! My bank balance is loving that.
