Well I had my first clinic with the 'DNS' practice nurse, checked my feet [tickle, tickle] BP, not bad @130/90, my cholesterol @4.2 HbA1c @54, BG @ clinic 4.5 mmol/L.

Then saw the GP, who told me he had been on the diabetes uk medical panel, had a lengthy chat was in no rush to push me out of the door, was ok with self testing, but not every day.

Has put me on 500mg metformin [glucophage SR] with a scrip for 50 test strips [on repeat] and a sharps bin.

seems all went well, so far

Wow sounds a good visit esp the test strips 🙂

Sounds like a good appointment, with both DSN and GP, resulting in the information & resources you need to continue to manage your condition, Macabee.

Seems it went as well as can be Macabee. Good news about the strips. I got 50 as a one off!

Well done macabee - keep up the good work, you're doing very well...🙂
