hey all

So just a little update - I love my diabetes team.

I’ve been really upset recently as my numbers are rubbish at the min but they’ve just told me I’m silly as yes I’m running high but I’m pretty stable and I’ve just had a baby so need to cut myself some slack. Having my hba1c done now but they said that they expect it to be higher and that it’s to be expected post baby so not to worry and that soon I’ll be back down.
Working closely with them now to bring me lower in general but without risks of hypos (they hate hypos when you have a newborn especially).

Anyway turns out I’m now at pre pregnancy weight (still means I need to lose another 1 3/4 stone to be at my ideal) but that’s a good start 🙂

So all in all not too bad. Feel very lucky to have such a supportive diabetes team.

Well done grainger and nice you had a good checkup . Be kind to yourself and enjoy your new baby

Good work Grainger...its not easy & you have had so much to contend with...excellent news for you & the family.

You go girl! You should be very proud.

What a lovely sensible team at your clinic grainger! It's ruddy hard work for anyone's body let alone a T1 one making it harder still. Yes, indeed, cut yourself some slack.

Well done on the start to the weight loss again too and look at the BG this way - let this be 'the worst it's going to be' - so anything down from whatever it is, will be a success.

However try and remember it ain't good to get a DRASTIC reduction asap - far far better for long life and prosperity to do it gradually, so keep telling yourself that!

You're doing great, sounds like sensible advice from your team 🙂

Great stuff @grainger! Sounds like you've got a cracking team to support you there.

Well done @grainger. Great to have a care team like that. Keep up the good work and remember it is a marathon not a sprint!
