Doing a tandem skydive for yorkhill diabetes unit tomorrow but the good old Scottish weather could beat us. If so we just rebook another date but I'm so psyched up to do it tomorrow so please everyone fingers crossed for clear skies and a wee prayer to whatever god you believe in ( or just send me good vibes if you don't!!)
Ruth :D

Good luck :D

Good luck Ruth! I hope it goes really well and that you have a fantastic time, you brave lady! 🙂

Well, if the winds are as strong as recently, we'll see you in Norway? :D

But, hopefully not, my fingers and toes will be suitably crossed for you.

Andy 🙂

Bets of luck Ruth. I'm sure you'll be fine and will want to go again as soon as you touch down.🙂

And well done for doing it. Not the most natural thing to do, so takes a bit of guts for anyone I should think.

Rob

Good luck, fingers are crossed. You're one brave lady! 🙂

Very best of luck Ruth!! I hope the weather is good for you and you have a brilliant time 🙂 xxx

Good luck Ruth and good vibes are being transferred as I type.

A nephew of mine did one last month for charity and he was scared stiff beforehand. He loved it so much that he is going to do another one next July.

Hope you can make the jump tomorrow, Ruth. Which airfield are you using?

Thanks all! It's strathallan in Perthshire , do you know it?

Good luck Ruth :D, I did my lab placement last semester at yorkhill and my nephew (now a strapping 17 year old) spent the first 8 weeks of his life in the NICU so it has a lot of memories for me.

I don't know it - only airfield I ever visited was in Northumberland, with an east Scottish TA pharmacist friend, when we both lived in Tyneside, who has probably jumped there.

She doesn't watch this board, but would also want to send her good wishes to you.

Good luck

All the very best for your jump😎

Thanks all!
Copepod - the good wishes from you both are very much appreciated.
Caroline I think we've been so lucky to be with yorkhill now - they really improved things for Ben so much - feel we need to give something back.
Have got my thermals looked out!!

Good Luck Ruth, and enjoy it. My daughter did one for Diabetes UK in March and raised ?500ish. She loved it, despite having a fear of flying and of heights.
