Sorry to bother you boys and girls.
As per my sig below, HbA1c of 44 on 29/2/24.
Today for the first time I did a finger prick test and the result was 5.8.
That was at 4pm, a good 3 1/2 hours after lunch, consisting of tinned tuna, a big bowl of salad, and one slice of sourdough bread.

My question: does the reading sound a bit high given the time between test and eating?
Can I read anything into it?

Thanks for any answers.

Sounds as expected, guidance is 4-7mmol/l before meals.

Sounds terrific. I'd be delighted with that and I am insulin dependent but still can't get that sort of reading consistently!

Perfectly "normal"

A reading of 5.8 means probably somewhere between 5 and 7 and as such is completely normal.

Thanks everyone, that’s reassuring.
