Hope I have done the right thing, after months of lack of interest in the person by my current doctors, finally filled in the paper work and dropped it off at a new doctors.
While there dropped in at the hospital (next door) as the APAP (for sleep apnoea) machine was playing up and desperately needed a service. When I had my machine I had to go private as the NHS did not have any funding to provide them.
An hour later returned to pick it up and they needed to see me, to tell me that they were scrapping my machine
. The good news was that if I gave them my old one they would give me a nice shinny new one on the NHS. 🙂
No longer will I have to pay for serving of the equipment, and saved me nearly ?500 + vat (though think I could get it vat free) on buying a replacement. Its just a pity I had to go private in the first place and having to pay hundreds of pounds a year on spares and servicing.
