A few weeks ago, i went and did some filming for Diabetes UK which will be used at the 3 main political party conferences coming up. As part of the conferences they have fringe events - where all the MPs go into rooms where their interest lie (ie. schools/health/education) and i filmed a question as a parent asking about why schools can be good in one area and not in another in helping children with diabetes. A child with epilepsy, an asthma nurse and a teacher have also asked questions which will be shown. All questions highlighting difficulties our children with medical conditions may face because of lack of guidance. It's part of the big drive to get the government working on medical conditions in schools. I had to outline the problems we had with Rose's school. The MPs will have to answer the questions being asked and discuss the way forward - in theory.
Today it will be shown at the Liberal Democrats Party Conference underway in Bournemouth.

The healthcare in education challenge
Speaker: Greg Mulholland MP. Many children with long-term conditions find their health needs are not accommodated at school and many experience discrimination or exclusion. Will a Lib Dem Government do enough for these children?

I just hope something good will come at the end of it all.
