Not a thing I ever get normally, but as a treat for missing all the bread, cakes, chocolate etc etc, I have a steak for tonight, 2 jersey Royal small potatoes and broccoli..can't wait !

Enjoy.

Sounds delicious @Martin9 - what time should we all arrive? I’d like mine rare-to-medium please :D

Make sure mine is very, very rare ...... Nothing a good vet couldn't revive!!!! :D
Enjoy your treat!!!

Yum Yum Yum..all I can say🙄

Personally - I prefer mine cooked.

It's aganst the law in this country for a food establisment to keep cooked and uncooked food in the same 'fridge.

So there's absolutely no reason to allow that to happen on my plate !

I like my steak red, but not still moving. I’d be tempted to mince it and add capers and chopped shallots and a raw free range egg yolk, along with a drop or two of Tabasco, a splash of Lea and Perrin’s and mustard. No cooking involved. Yummy.🙂

Think you should be reported to admin for that post MikeyB..😛😛😛

Steak Tartare! Scrummy - but gimme Tornedos Rossini instead please. Incidentally it won't need to be actual real AOC Pate de fois gras on my plate, any smooth liver pate will be fine.

Fillet steak is best rare in my humble opinion, the rarer the better I prefer it blue actually.
Steak Tartar have eaten it very frequently usually in Germany for breakfast and in the Canaries as a starter before dinner.
I did have some here in Shanghai a couple of weeks back prepared by a Spanish chef which was very nice indeed.

Well said @bamba I totally agree.

Most of the Irish eat their steaks well done! I don’t like any hint of pink on my meat! I shudder to think how I’d manage in France & have never been there!

Mmmm.... I love a good steak.

Lanny - 'bien cuit' is the expression for 'well done' when ordering meat. If it arrives pink - refuse it and ask for, 'Plus bien cuit, SVP'.
