Me, me.... I am one of them!
Still ducking and dodging it, despite quite a few theatre trips and arena concerts.
No doubt I will catch it tomorrow now and be wishing I had cut my tongue out..... or maybe chopped my fingers off for typing this! 🙄

I remember a scenario/question once, someone was talking about health and safety on building sites. They said on average there are 2 accidents a month on average. Q. If there hasn't been an accident for three months how many accidents would you expect in the fourth month?

My answer.....none. it was clear a different trend was appearing that was different to the one we were being led to believe.

With a 99% survival rate that sounds about right

Horrific isn’t it. Sounds like nothing, but that would represent around 675,000 people in the UK. 😱

Thankfully death toll is ‘only’ 218,000 so far. :(

But you have to know how many extra people have died from it (rather then "with" it) to get any accuracy about how bad it really is...
And the average ages of those who have died.
Over 500,000 people die every year in the UK anyway so these numbers need context.

Especially noteworthy is that the excess deaths we saw at the end of 2022 and the start of 2023 were not, for the most part, due to C19...makes you wonder...
And the NHS always has a "winter crisis" it seems pretty much par for the course.

Hi Mike,

The 99% survival rate would apply only if one was unlucky enough to catch it?

The graph attached shows the percentage of those "with covid". In 2020 from April to September looks like less than 1%. The 99% survival rate would be based only on that 1% of the population who caught it.

What is also concerning is the post pandemic non covid excess deaths. I know Mr Campbell isn't everybody's "cup of tea", but the data presented in this video can't be disputed. The explanation given in parliament is it's happening across the world so nothing to be concerned about. The other explanation given was the huge number of excess deaths are due to lack of availability of some drugs during the pandemic which isn't backed up by facts.

So many lives sadly lost to virus, lovely couple not far from us caught it & died within days of each other.

Hi Bulkbiker,

What makes me wonder is why current non covid excess deaths are not considered a public health emergency?

For the week ending 13th January this year we saw 2,837 excess deaths. This number exceeds the excess deaths during almost every week during the pandemic.

I agree.. hardly ever mentioned yet thousands extra are dying... one has to wonder what the cause could be...!

We are certainly not seeing the data presented with the same level of vigour we saw in 2020 on tv every night for months on end.

Fully jabbed and no covid it's how you live that counts,
if you don't want to get wet when it rains you stay indoors.
All drugs have side effects - fact
One size does NOT fit all..........

Hello,
Having decided to do a strange activity called "walking to the bus stop" in the last few days, I am as stiff as a cardboard cut out and my pins and needles are singing like a bunch of crickets.
I tested positive for COVID last year and I'm still here despite a chronic cough. I sound like someone on two packs of cigarettes a day.
Luckily it's not cancer but asthma and I take my inhalers or puffers like a good girl. In and out, in and out followed by an hour of the shakes or the wobbles.
I plan to do very little today and notice how life has changed since I was fit. Still, sipping packet cappuccinos, watching Apple TV and my two cats haven't changed so there's the rainbow.

Hmm just read through the article ..
Seems pretty much like complete guesswork.. no mention of natural immunity.
The "asymptomatic" who, like Typhoid Mary, were alleged to be spreading it around like nobodies business.
I've never taken a test so how could anyone know if I have ever had it or not?
