Hi, had a phone call from my GP today stating that the Fiasp flex pen was going to become difficult to obtain and that all flex pen users would be transferred over to the Fiasp cartridge device with immediate effect, I’ve not used the cartridge system before but don’t foresee a problem, just a heads up.

Yes unfortunately this shortage has been rolling out for several months now (at least April). I’m not sure how long the shortage is due to last, but several forum members have taken the opportunity to switch to re-usable pens (with the advantages those offer).
Far more room in the fridge for one thing! 🙂

What the Fiasp FlexTouch shortages mean for people living with diabetes
What’s the situation? Fiasp is a rapid-acting insulin manufactured by Novo Nordisk. There is no current shortage of the insulin, however there is a shortage which impacts the FlexTouch insulin pen. Fiasp FlexTouch is a disposable, pre-filled pen designed to be used with pen needles.
