I’m going to a four day music fest in July, fingers crossed, in deepest Wiltshire. My first fest since diagnosis. Camping too. Love the campsite vibe. My breakfast will be nib oatmeal porridge and i’m planning taking dahl in sachets for my foodie boosters in between beers. I might substitute a smoke for some of the beer. Less carbs. Any one any brilliant tips for a festival experience ?

Lucky you! It's years since I went to festivals all of which were a long time before I was diagnosed. I can't imagine going now with a low carb diet!

It may be worth you taking along lots of nuts for snacking on as they are relatively low carb. Just keep away from the burger vans! 🙂 Sorry I haven't any advice, just wanted to say....Enjoy! :D

Festivals are what summer is for. Great idea. Lots of nuts. You should come along. It’s paradise.

Enjoy. Have fun!

Nuts are great and if you're not a veggie/vegan: cheese and cold meat. Even canned mackerel and sardines work with a bowl of salad-y stuff! Dahl sounds fab too.

I miss beer as well, but mostly abandoned in favour of red wine for my own sake...

I've heard on the grapevine Wiltshire Constabulary are getting tough on smoking (if you see what I mean); their enforcement of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 can be stricter than most; just a word to the wise just in case!

Hope the event goes ahead and you have a lot of fun.
