A FERNHURST mum is pounding the pavements to help thousands of people with diabetes around the country.
Mother-of-three Shiobhaun Watt, will run the Virgin London Marathon on April 26 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), a type-one diabetes charity.
“Diabetes runs in my family. I inject myself with insulin a minimum of five times a day,” said Shiobhaun.
“Every day means being vigilant to what I eat and how much insulin I inject.
“Type-one diabetes never has a day off and it never goes away which is why research into finding a cure is vital.
