Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I have just been told i have type two diabetes within the last month My right foot has gone patchy purple and two toes have gone numb my feet are stone cold is this something to worry about?

Hi samthegas, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear about your foot - you should go to your GP and ask to see a podiatrist as soon as you can so you can have them properly checked out. How did you come to be diagnosed? When did your foot start looking/feeling like this?

Welcome samthegas - and another vote for the see your GP approach. Diabetes can be associated with poor sensation, poor circulation etc, and it's quite possible that you have had type 2 diabetes for some considerable time before diagnosis. However, the good news is that effective treatment (any combination of diet / exercise / weight control / medication), resulting in good blood glucose control, can improve feet problems considerably.
