I have been having very painful feet, in the area before my toes, in the balls of my feet. My right foot has a hard swelling and it is very sore. I saw my gp today. She is sending me for an x-ray. She suspects in might be mortons neuroma. Has anyone had any experience of this? It's only 2 weeks before I go on my first ever holiday abroad. It looks like I will be going on cruches. My insurance, for one week, has cost me ?150, due to my other medical conditions. If I have to declare this I will probably have to pay even more.

I hope you get some answers and it is nothing too serious. Good you have seen the doctor.

Have you thought about new shoes too? I may be barking up the wrong tree, but find when my feet srtat to hurt and swell it i s time to get new shoes.

There's a good article about it on Wikipedia, a very interesting read - I get a lot of foot pain but not like yours. Mine's more excruciating stabbing pains that can occur anywhere on my feet but only last a few seconds.

Good luck with it anyway, foot pain is hell.:(
