I have sadly, a severe chest infection, resulting in a hacking cough, now also flu like symptoms. I sweat, I shivver, wet sneezes, runny, yet blocked nose, and now chapped skin uner my nostrils - I look a lovely (not) sight.

It is nothing terribly serious (thank God) and it will pass - but for the moment I feel really shitty.

Not surprisingly, my blood glucose is not behaving either.

Oh joy!!! 🙄

Poor Hazel, I do wish you a speedy recovery, in the meantime, spoil yourself a little.🙂

Hazel sorry to see your not feeling 100% at the moment

Get well soon mate x

Ah Hazel,

I have the sore scabby nose but nothing like you. I do hope you feel better soon.🙂

Have to ask, if it is a chest infection, have you seen the doctor? I have always found it best to get help for these things and anti biotics will help sort it out.

I hope you feel better soon.

Hope you're feeling better very soon Hazel 🙂

i hope you are feeling better soon

Thanks everyone - I have been so focused recently on looking after Dad, forgot all about me.

Yes Caroline, I am indeed on anti biotics for the chest infection, GP also told me to rest up.

Now my abdomen, rib cage area, is really sore as a result of sneezing and coughing so much.

Hate this, would not wish it on my worst enemy. I think it has to run its course, lots of fluids, plenty tissues and pray for the day it passes. I do not make a good patient!

Apparently (according to my GP) this area is really affected by this cold/flu/chest infection thing. I blame the rapid change in weather. Very hot for the time of year, now back to bitterly cold again, whatever happened to 4 separate seasons?

Aw Hazel - hope you feel better soon xxx

Thankd Di and you xx

Hope it will pass soon and you feel better and maybe a hot toddy to help soothe the throat

Hope you will feel a lot better soon. Please try to find some 'me' time, it's so important.

Sorry to hear you are feeling so rough Hazel. I had the same at end of Feb and ended up in bed for ten days. Chest infection /flu . I have never felt so ill and as you say wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I did have a flu jab but it was mainly chest infection. Antibiotics did help but it has taken me a long time to feel my old self again. All good wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hope you feel better soon

Aww hazel, so sorry to hear this, it's horrid when you ache from coughing and sneezing too on top of the original problem. Try and have some "me" time and get well soon.xx
