Good evening all .Hope your all well.as can be!! Diagnosed 9 months ago with type 2.out of the blue!! Started on usual but had funny reaction to tablets.swapped to gliclazide.80 mg once a day.happy to report that my readings over last 2 weeks average 7.4 and 7 reading today .at a point during first diagnosis I hit 21 etc.i still eat healthy and have a treat etc but I'm hoping the tabs are working!!maybe it just takes time for body to adjust to meds and kick in.my only concern is I don't want to go the other way and end up going too low!!not put on any excess weight. Maybe half a stone over 9 months.sitting at 12,4 at min.did drop to 11,13 stone.quite physical job etc.5 ft 9 and im overweight apparently!! Got a review with nurse on 17th August and blood test etc.hopefully there's nothing sinister at hand!!all the best.all stay safe and ask any questions if you have any concerns. This site is fantastic.
