Relationship to Diabetes
At risk of diabetes
Since everyone needs to social distance and is encouraged to stay home, I thought it would be lovely to hear what makes you feel alive today.

I want every single person affected by diabetes to live life to the full and free from the fear of isolation and the coronavirus. This means that even though the government is taking precautions, doesn’t mean we can’t show our happiness.

Come share your Feel Alive Friday with the forum and what makes you happy today.

My Feel Alive Friday is buying an exercise bike. I love cycling and it gives me the opportunity to cycle even though I can’t leave the house. I just hope it doesn’t break!

It has been so lovely to be able to walk out with the dogs in the sunshine this week. We’ve had to drop to one walk a day, (it is usually one x1 and one x2 for our doggies), so I am choosing more of a mid-day slot when it’s nice and warm, with the sun on my face, through the trees, and sparkling on the water in the harbourside.

Makes me feel very lucky.

That sounds so lovely! The neighbors gave us access to her garden while she is away, which gives us some outdoor space.

I am also walking my dog once a day for about half-hour, and away from people.

I don't have a dog :( but I do have two cats! I could try and buy a cat harness for them 🙂

My first one only lasted a few months but was replaced no problem, and the replacement has been going well, for over a year. No signs of anything going wrong, 3 adults in the house use it. My son tends to pedal quite fast on it.
Enjoy using it.

We've been getting up early to enjoy local wood walks (and have been rewarded with spotting a wild deer each day), then back for breakfast, after which my wife begins her work from home routine and I busy myself with my hobbies and making sure she is well fed and watered. We could get used to this (well, kind-of - minus the virus part)... Phil 🙂

There are enough flowers out in my garden for me to pick a bunch for indoors, I've currently got a vase of hyacinths wafting perfume round the kitchen.
I just took the car out to go food shopping, and Classic FM was playing one of my favourite pieces of music on the car radio.52CB9CB3-9B96-4825-84C0-5974651A820A.jpeg

The Woodland reserve where we took our dog for walks had deer, though I never saw them.

Being well while others are dealing with & suffering from virus, that makes you appreciative of life & makes you feel good about being alive, not just Friday any day of week.

Went to butchers early on, well stocked with all meats available. Back home started prunning trees, gardening always makes me feel good when all looks nice & tidy.

Thank you so much for sharing and that deer looks incredible! I would be afraid to get any closer though :(

Amazing flowers! None of mine has bloomed yet, but I am hoping in the next couple of weeks I can plant some tomatoes and chili's.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any meat in the super market, but bought quite of bit a plant based meat to give it a try.

Wife likes meat free sausages, think those Linda McCartney ones, she's on Slimming World diet so might have something to do with it.

I’ve been writing a daily blog on Facebook, all tongue in cheek and then posting a picture that shows life goes on. Also just got a new camera and trying to get some half decent photos of my beloved birds. Particularly pleased with this from yesterday’s walk. A long tailed tit feathering it’s nest.

What’s your favourite piece of music? We listen to Classic FM, Mr Eggy is a bit of a classical music buff, I like what I like. Vaughn Williams Lark Ascending is my summer favourite. O fortuna is a nice rousing piece of music and anything from Karl Jenkins The Armed Man sends shivers down my spine.

It was Beethoven's Triple concerto this morning. It hardly ever gets an airing, which made it all the more enjoyable.
I suddenly had a yen for Verdi the other night. I used to sing in one of the large London choruses, many years ago when I lived there, and did the Requiem regularly. I’ve sung Carmina Burana and the Armed Man, it always gave me a buzz to be standing inside the music, as it were.
