Have any members been featured in Balance or other media form? Apart from a 'pen pal request' in Balance, and a few newspaper articles about my accident, and a few letters to magazines I have nothing to brag of...

My 'story' is on the Diabetes UK website, on one of the new 'young people' sections they recently added, I won a book for it! But my name's not with it so i'd be surprised if anyone on here could find it!

I also had a 'pen pal' request thing in Balance, to my shame beyond an initial reply I've not stayed in touch with many people I met on there, I guess there must be lots of people who are looking to meet other diabetics as I got lots of replies so struggled to keep on top of them all...

Congrats on being published on the Diabetes web site! I had a lot of replies too, but all of them dropped off one by one. One who did keep in touch was shalle we say 'not a particularly nice' person, so apart from a Christmas card we rarely communicate. Unlike some other penpals who have stayed in touch.

However one person to reply to me from Balance was someone who used to live in our hometown and knew our family before they moved many moons ago.

I have had letters and shrot articles printed some time ago in Chat Magazine and regular items in my firms in house news letter for staff

I was Star letter in balance in about 2006. and in the same issue I had my dietician in the 'i love' section.
