Hello I just started using the freestyle libre 2 back in December i replaced my sensor two days ago and it is now telling me that my sensor has ended and ro replace it has anyone else had this happen

I am not a Libra user but I have noted quite a few Libre 2 users on the forum that have experienced unexpected failures with Libre 2 sensors. Read around the forum and you will find the threads. The usual thing to do it seems is to report it to Abbott who will normally supply a replacement. This is in the UK where the forum is based. I see you are based in Canada where the procedures may be different.

Yes, I have experienced this. It is unfortunately but, thankfully (for me) it is not common.
In the UK, if you telephone the Abbott freephone number, they will ask some questions and, likely, replace the sensor.

AS @Docb mentioned there are many threads on this forum (and others) about faulty sensors.

Sorry you have had a faulty sensor @Albertanana but as @helli says phoning Abbott leads to a replacement without issues. It is worth having three BG’s with corresponding readings from the sensor if available.

That isn't necessary if the sensor has ended, they are only needed if you are reporting a sensor for inaccuracies xx

Yes I had my 16th sensor do this yesterday, I can tell you I'm more than a little frustrated with them now, Abbott are really good at replacing though, they will need the sensors serial number and the error code it gave (can be found in the event log) and for that they will usually ask you return the faulty sensor (they send a prepaid return envelope with the replacement along with 2 biohazard bags that you need to put the faulty one in before putting it in the envelope) xx

Yes just report it online and they’ll send a new one. Or call if you can’t report online

Mine is totally inaccurate - this morning it showed 8.0 when a finger prick showed 6.1!!!

I lied, checking my call log this would be my 18th replacement xx

8.0 and 6.1 aren't too bad. If the difference in readings is consistent then it is workable at less than 2mmols out but not ideal. I had one that consistently read 2mmols lower and I just adjusted my calculations. It showed I had a lot more hypos than I actually did and mad a mess of my TIR stats as a result but otherwise it was OK to use. More than 2mmols out and I would report it or if the discrepancy wasn't consistent ie within 1mmol above and below.
You have to remember that finger prick readings are not totally accurate either so you are comparing two readings, neither of which are absolutes.

I had a faulty one last week saying the same thing. Been using libre since last October ,this is the 3rd faulty one. Abbot are very good, always send a replacement out within 5 working days, never had to return faulty ones.
My sensors have sometimes had a variable of 2ml ,I’ve been told by my DSN that this is acceptable.

They do occasionally ask to send a faulty one back .
