Hi there, I've been using Libre sensors since October. My last 3 have had problems. The one I have on now keeps saying try again in 10 minutes and the 2 before that fell of within half an hour. Anyone else had problems? I'm wondering if there was a problem with quality control due to the shortage a few months ago?
Nope, I've only needed 3 replacements in the year I've been using and I got 8 days from each needing replaced before the readings became widely out for finger pricks, the one now sounds like it may be that the cannula has been bent probably on insertion and the others the adhesive was maybe just below par or has been changed and not suiting your skin type, either way I do hope you've reported and had them replaced xx

I have had a few replacements in recent Times, a couple for them falling back off in a very short time, they told me they knew about this issue back then so I assume they have some sort of issue in manufacturing that has yet to be solved, that may also have been behind the shortages a while back too.
there were no shortages, it was a logistics issue with supply to pharmacy's so I'm unsure why there is mention of shortages, shortages suggest manufacturing and production issues which there were none of xx

I just put 2 and 2 together when they told me they knew there were problems with them falling off and soon after we had the supply issue, It was only an assumption on my part based on what I was told as I stated, but thanks for the correction
It sounds as if they had a gluey problem, with not enough on the circle of gauze that holds it on.
They have always been good about any issues that arise. It is just a shame that you have had problem the first times you are using them.
I tend to put a tegaderm over mine straight away as I definitely don’t want to lose any.
I cut a hole in the centre to position over the central hole of the sensor. The edges of the tegaderm do get a bit curly towards the end of the two weeks, but it is worth it for all the info that I get from my Libre.
They changed the formulation of the glue a while back. I used to get red circles on the skin after the sensor came off, but don’t now. The only problem I have now is getting the things off after two weeks.
I’ve never had one fall off, after learning that you mustn’t have a shower just after application- the glue hadn’t had time to set properly.
