I don't usually have breakfast until 10.00am - 11.00am ish although i do go downstairs to make a brew, so wondered when i should really do a BS test for my fasting BS levels.

I do mine before I get out of bed. It's was up by 3 mmols by the time I ate an hour later but fixed it by having one unit when I test.

I also test and inject the moment I get up, usually have my slice of toast about an hour later. Before I did it this way I would test when I got up, and then it would just keep on rising, sometimes going from 4.5 to 10 or more 😱

I'm another who finds that DP doesn't really kick in until my Feet Hit The Floor

Ooh. Thought it was just me. If I don't eat I need another unit after an hour.

I also have the "feet hit the floor" rise. If I merely lie in bed reading then FBG doesn't rise... if I get up and wander off to shower and dress it can go up 3 mmol without any reason. So, if I don't want brekkie immediately I inject 1 - 2u. Then test again before brekkie and inject accordingly.
