I took my neighbour to have blood tests today and, to save time, arranged to have mine done too as they were due in June. She needed a wheelchair and we were both waved through immediately, which amazed us both.

By the look of the queue we'd have had to wait for at least 1-2 hrs under normal circumstances, and as mine was a fasting sugar, I'd have had a long wait for breakfast. I normally dread the whole process but today at least it was quick.

Good news you were both seen quickly. Usually, regardless of length of queue, people for fasting blood tests are given priority over those who can eat before their blood is taken. In any case, it's always worth declaring that you've come for a fasting blood test, if you have.

i always let them know im fasting but last time no queue !🙂

Always asked if fasted and point out I'm diabetic but long queues are the norm here and it can be infuriating.
