Hi, new to forum but long time type 1 diabetic.
Wanted to know whether I was in the minority with regard to reaction from family. I have brains etc and very independent regarding diabetes (hate feeling out of control and do not allow diabetes to rule my life and put on the smiley face mask to prove that everything is ok). Some family have attitude that I am brainless and can be treated differently because I have this "imperfection".
Don't say it is my imagination because others have noticed it as well.
I am feeling frustrated, irritated and totally annoyed that they feel they can get away with it.
Has anyone else found this to be the case regarding this very special health problem?
