A father and daughter from Haceby are taking part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 cycle race to raise funds for Diabetes UK.
Stewart Maher, owner of Maher Millard Construction, and Brittany Maher-Kirk, who works for Diabetes UK, are taking part in the 100-mile cycle because type two diabetes runs in the family.
Brittany said: “My Dad and I have both seen how difficult life can be with the condition. My Grandma has been very fortunate with the care she receives, but after having worked for Diabetes UK for two years, I know that a lot of people with diabetes haven’t been so lucky.
