went to Maxillo hospital this morning was worried as last time they found a growth in the mouth luckily it came back benign. only having to have another biopsy done so here we go another cancer scare. wasn't down hearted more annoyed and angry that i am back in the same situation.

the surgeon wanted a swab doing heart rate went up a bit as i thought it was for covid but it was for something abnormal within the mouth so now the waiting game begins.

the problem with biopsy is afterwards they can be bloody painful for about a month all you can eat is soup or ice cream. you would think you could eat some fruit but boy last time that was very painful going.

as far as i am concerned i am a fighter not one for giving up so let the battle commence.

it was strange going to the unit as my partner went there for hearing aid batteries or test and i did glimpse over and it brought back a few memories for a moment didn't really dwell though as my mind was occuppied with what i was about to face.

I'm so sorry to hear this M, you've been through such a lot lately. :( My friend in Plymouth has just had similar, a chunk out of her tongue, she's still sore now, makes it difficult to eat. :(

Stay strong.

Sorry to hear this. You sure are going through it ar the mo,
(((HUG)))

Jan, Lin, Adrian many thanks for the well wishes talk about getting annoyed with everything going haywire walk straight in to the poo today.

Jan i had my first biopsy in the same place. didn't hurt when they did it but once the pain relief wore off oh my god. it is the stitches which rub when you eat which causes the terrible pain. for me only soups and ice cream were on the menu. now you would honestly think eating soft fruit would be okay but nope it nearly made me scream. shopping bill will be cheap for a month.

what got me they told me a week recovery like hell it was a month. dreading round 2 but i know it is vital as i don't want full blown mouth cancer.

Sorry to hear you are facing a second biopsy.

I hope this time your recovery is much speedier and the whole thing is a lot less painful all round.

And everything crossed for the results too.

the problem isn't with the biopsy it is the stitches which rub in the mouth. i do have some gel which should be ideal as i used it last time. if a letter plops on the floor i know i am in the plops and pain heaven for a while.
