Apologies if I don't seem to be commenting on posts as much as possible but for the past few weeks I've had problems with concentration as my eyes are dancing around the screen when I read. Not so bad if I've got large font on my computer or reading large font on the Kindle but not so easy on here. I think the latest problems are caused by a membrane growing over my left macula and a macula hole developing in my right eye. Some days everything seems fine but other days it's like th vision problems you can get with a bad hypo.
I've got the retinal clinic on Tuesday to see if they can advise - but only options appear to be surgery which could be very risky with my complicated eyes.
Glaucoma appointment on Friday to see if the SLT laser has helped reduce the pressure.
On the plus side I've got special equipment on my computer which is very helpful for reading longer documents especially when I work on my book 🙂

Hell I really feel for you AJ. The early cataract on my right eye and severe dry eye condition (I have Sjogrens Syndrome) is driving me nuts because it affects the visual acuity in my right eye but your problems sound very challenging. Well done you for finding things to assist and for your sheer spirit! x

Sorry to here your eye problems are making it difficult for you to concentrate and read.
All the best for the upcoming eye appointments.

Thank you Amigo. I really feel for you. Decreased visual acuity and dry eye is more than frustrating. You have a lot to deal with and I also admire your spirit x thank you Grovesy x

Hi A
J and amigo. Sorry to hear about your vision. Hope appointments go well x

Thank you Carol x

I have been getting VERY stressed about tomorrow's eye appointment. Thank goodness that Mark has the patience of a saint.

Hope everything goes very well for you at your appointment. Everything crossed. Sad to hear about your problems Amigo, hope that it improves 🙂

Thanks happydog...hopefully can be sorted at some point if it's just a cataract. Never expected those to be honest! 🙄

Best wishes for Friday Amanda x

Hope everything goes well, Amanda.....

Thank you very much Amigo, Happydog, Martin and Wirralass x

Thank you everyone. The retinal consultant thinks that it's an eye muscle problem and personally went round to Orthoptics to get me an urgent appointment with them on Thursday. He also told me that he will be around on Thursday if needed. He also confirmed that there is a"dip" in my right macula but that these dips aren't normally progressive.
