I had an eye test today with some interesting results - i'm now short sited when i was long sited also the optician saw bleeding in the back of my eye :( so thats a blow.

I went from being mildly long sighted to mildly short sighted once I became diabetic too Simon. Sorry to hear about the bleeding. I don't really know much about that but I'm sure someone will be along shortly to explain what that means. XXXXX

Is the optician referring you to hosp Simon, or do you have to go via GP?

Sorry to hear about the eye Simon, have you had a retinopathy scan lately? Did the optician give you any advice regarding it? Hopefully, it will be something that doesn't need treatment, or at least can be easily treated.

Hi Simon sorry to hear about your eye. Hope the bleeding isn't too bad but it is always a huge shock when we get told something like this about our eyes. Try not to get too fed up about it and make sure that you are being referred to the right person for appropriate advice. Good luck with it🙂

Sorry to hear about the bleed, hope its something they can sort out quickly for you.

Hi Simon, if the optician is not refering you for further checks see your doctor. It may be nothing or something, but is worth getting checked for your own peace of mind.

My eyes have changed too. Now instead of needing glasses for everything, I mainly only need them for reading or close up work like knitting or sewing.
