I have received my letter re eye screening which (like for so many) has been delayed from October due to Covid. I have had it done a couple of times and each time it is painless, but there is always the nag at the back of my.mind suppose this is the time they find a problem. I suspect I am not the only one who thinks that.

Got my first one March 2nd so am starting to worry but can't do much about it :(

I thought that way as well before my first one but then thought that if they found anything it could be treated which would be far better than not finding it and it getting worse. Fortunately I was all clear.

I am like @adrian1der - better to have the scan and know about a problem so it can be treated than for it to be left to get worse.

In a similar vein, I am glad I was diagnosed with diabetes. I don't like having it but life is much better after diagnosis than before

I don't worry till I have anything to worry about.
Nor me.

No harm in looking up any of the theory as long as you're not going to imagine you'll have all the awful things.

My old mate (Jen) who I've known since we were both 7, once said to me about a mutual acquaintance that G's prayers had been answered at last. How do you mean? I asked. Now G, whenever you happened to run into her and said Hi G, how are you? Always said she was well thanks, but she'd had to take S-J (daughter) to the doctors ..... never anything wrong with S-J, just G ..... But apparently chicken pox spots had manifested this week ! Good God said I - all the kids in our road had it last month!

If you are likely to be like G - please DON'T look up the theory. :D

Slight signs of retinopathy i got told on my last test. Nothing to worry about she said. Mine was also a delayed appointment due to the pandemic. Also had my appointment with the podiatrist on saturday. signs of neuropathy in my right foot. With the pain and discomfort i have in my right foot i could've told her that Myself!
