I did it!!! Going to rest now because I have a sore eye and black patches in front of my eye....but the injection itself was absolutely fine

Well done! I'm really glad it went ok. 🙂

Glad it was OK, please tell us more when you feel up to it. (((HUGS)))

Brave girl, well done! Did they say how long you have to wait to 'see' the results?

Great news AJ, pleased it went well 🙂

Well done for being so brave! Hope you are feeling more comfortable soon 🙂

Thanks everyone. To be honest I nearly didn't go through with it, knocked back an extra lot of Valium AND cried whilst waiting for it to be done BUT wow when they'd finished injecting my words were "is that it? Thank you I'll see you in a month" For anyone else who has to go through this I can truly and honestly say that the discomfort was momentary and I had a lovely nurse holding my hand during the whole process - the way I gripped her hand she was probably the one in pain. The eye feels a little gritty now and when I stand up there are two black circles in my vision - but they will disappear within a few days. I need at least two more injections - every 4 weeks - and then should know after a month whether it has worked🙂

What good news! You were very brave

Thank you Patti🙂

Thank you Spiritfree🙂

That's great you went ahead, hope all goes well with the rest of the injections.

Well done Amanda ,
I'm so pleased for you . So you would recommend this for treatment ? I admit I had a look on a you tube clip but I wasn't sure to tell you about it . There was a lady who had the injection done and she only blinked , that was all , no crying , nothing at all .
I know when they did this to me there was no pain at all only the fear made it so awful. When it is over you asked yourself , why was I so scared .
But Im so happy for you .

Thank youPav and Flutterby. Gabriele yes I would recommend it and agree with you that there is no pain just the fear. I was very surprised at how straightforward it is🙂

Thank you Ricky x
