Yay!! Had my first routine retinopathy check at the new hospital where I had my vitrectomy in Feb...& all good! No signs of active retinopathy in either eye & the presures are good, PHEW!! I'm back in 6 months & hopefully if all is still quiet it can be yearly after that...they think the increase from background to proliferative retinopathy was 'just' due to the pregnancies so hopefully with continued control things will stay good now. There is still some old blood in the eye that had the op (which explains the odd occasional tiny black dot I get, those had been worrying me so it's good to know it's not the begining of a new bleed). So all in all, really good news. The clinic was very busy but exceptionally well organised - even taking into account travelling time (twice what it was to my old hospital) we were in & out far quicker than at the old hospital! So brill all round, soooo glad I had my care transferred!! 🙂
