The dizziness has continued - GP has referred me to neurologist and audiology but not ENT. I went to see the audiologist attached to our private hospital yesterday. After repeating the hearing test three times he was surprised by how much the hearing loss in my left ear has worsened in just six weeks and said that I definitely need to see an ENT consultant.
Went to opticians on Monday because I've been having problems with my eyes - the right vision seems to jump a lot. I'm frequently having problems reading but was told that my glasses are ok. The Optician sent me to eye casualty where they found a new bleed in the peripheral vision of my left eye so is arranging for my retinal appointment to be brought forward as quickly as possible.
I'm also sleeping at least 12 hours a day and feeling exhausted a lot of the time but I'm trying to stay positive.

Hi AJ, wondered why we hadn't seen you around for a while but seems like you've been having rather a rough time :(
I hope things start to get better and look up soon, it must be so difficult
Take it easy hun (((hugs))) xx

Oh dear, AJ, so sorry to hear about all your problems. (((Hugs))).

Sorry to hear this AJ :( (((hugs)))
I hope you feel better soon xx

Good to hear from you AJ (was wondering how you'd been) but sorry to hear that things haven't been great for you recently. Hope your appointments come through soon and you get some answers/treatment/resolutions. XX

Oh dear it never rains but it pours comes to mind. Dizziness possibilities which you may have already considered Labyrinthitis or Atherosclerosis. Does this dizziness mainly occur when you're at home only I believe carbon monoxide poisoning can cause dizziness. Do you have a CM monitor? could your gas appliances be faulty? do you have a solid or wood fuel fire? Sorry, I'm probably clutching at straws here but I can only make suggestions

Thank you everyone.
@Davein unfortunately the dizziness is both in and out of the house. Thank you for your suggestions they were good questions to ask. We have got a CM monitor. Labyrinthitis was the original diagnosis seven weeks ago by an out of hours GP but appears to have been ruled. The week before the dizziness started I'd been to the GP because of strange sensations in my arms and legs.
It's now been approx. 9 weeks since everything started. At least the MRI brain and ear scan was normal.

Sorry to hear your problems are ongoing, Amanda. ((((Hugs)))) from me.

Thank you everyone.

Have you considered the Atherosclerosis, clogging up of the arteries as I think that can cause sensations in the limbs? Obviously I'm not a medical man but as your symptoms have been ongoing any cause needs to be ruled out as I cannot be very pleasant for you. I don't wish to frighten you but half the battle is knowing what's causing the problem, good or bad. If it's anything to do with Atherosclerosis, God forbid, that could eventually lead to more complications

I have been wondering where you were and not online.
I had peripheral bleeidng in my left eye also I didn't know I had. Discovered it last year. They lasered the left eye and stopped it.
You will be fine.

Thanks Dave. You're not frightening me because I just want to find out what is going on and then deal with it. Athersclerosis hasn't been mentioned but coincidentally I did have a heart stree echo test four weeks ago. The consultant's preliminary findings were that everything seems ok but she would know for certain until she'd done the full report which I'm waiting for. I'm really going to push for answers at the neurology and ENT appointments and will also see if I can get any answers when I see my rheumatologist next week.

Thanks Vince. I'm sorry that you had peripheral bleeding in your eye. As the Optician underlined on her referral I have VERY complicated eyes with approximately 6 different eye conditions (I lose count) and have three/four of these attacking my peripheral vision. Touch wood the right eye isn't as bad because I rely on that one but the remaining peripheral vision in my left eye helps me to get round.
